HI TO ALL (over again)
Hope all of you have enjoyed the BBQ but obviously some of you didn't. And WE (organisers) know that almost all of you had trouble going to that place. And we apologise sincerely if we had not made it clear to you all the directions to go there.
PS: We ourselves got stranded at Pasir Ris and asked for directions from bus drivers as well.

Just to let all of you know that you people were not the only ones who faced problems, but we ourselves too. And plus all that smoke from the charcoal and things like that. And thanks CHERYL for starting up the fire, and not forgetting you received help from JOYCE too, and MAYBE WAISIONG.
And not forgetting to thank the people who BBQ the food, like Aqilah, Jaslyn, Miss Ng, Wai Siong, Yi Ting, Wan Ting, etc etc.

Feel free to post up all your photos you have for the Class BBQ, and please abstain from negative comments about the BBQ from your blogs, because if you all have so much to rant, we (organisers) have alot to rant too. Actually everyone who's reading can see the controlled anger within me as i type this whole chunk of words. Not to pinpoint anyone, but if you're really so unhappy with this BBQ, you can jolly well get back your refund, and vomit out the food that you've eaten.

A quick glance at the weather forecast tells us that it will rain on the class BBQ day! :( However, not even weather forecasts are accurate at times, so let's hope the sky would be clear for us to have fun on that day. (:

It's still safer to have a more elaborate rainy day plan in case it really rains on that day. Hmm.. water bombs make us wet, so I guess water bombing on a rainy day would be suitable, but of course we can still waterbomb on sunny days. Otherwise, I suggest that the class sits in a circle under a pavillion and tell horror stories. It's a rainy day after all, suitable ambience for sending chills down our spines! (Consider lighting up a campfire for more ambience, if possible.) (Might want to bring a portable mike and amplifier set too, but it might too bulky to carry to and fro.) (Or maybe just play some class games if all else fails.)

How to get to the site:

-- Board the MRT to Bedok or Paya Lebar, then take a taxi to Bedok Jetty. Lol the taxi driver won't know where BBQ pit #57 is, so better say Bedok Jetty. (Believe me, its cheaper than taking a taxi all the way from your home, although it's more time consuming.)

-- Board a taxi in a group to share the costs.

-- By your parent's car.

-- There is no bus service that stops at the site. Although there is 401, it does not operate on weekdays. There are actually many bus services across ECP (East-Coast Parkway) near Bedok Jetty, but you can't cross the highway as there are no traffic lights and you can't fly across. I don't know if there are any overhead bridges though, so if you want to risk it, you can take buses 16, 31, 36, 43, 48, 196, 197, 135, 155 and 853. (We''ll not be responsible if you lose your way!)

Suggestions (No need to oblige, they're just suggestions!) :

-- More food of the herbivore variety? x)
-- We bought an oil brush, but do remember the oil itself! (Or is it included in the food?)
-- Use styrofoam cups, as they are more environmentally friendly. Unless there is a recycling bin nearby.
-- Bring fans, to dissipate the smoke that might be produced from the BBQ.

Haha, they're just suggestions, so it's up to the class to decide whether they want to use them or not! :)

-Reminder-
Time: 5pm SHARP!
Activities: One last class photo (before sun sets), and BBQ would start, rest are free and easy! (so dun feel tied down!)
Venue: EAST COAST PARK PIT 57. (it's near to the food village, in case xm not enough food. and also near to toilet, in case yiting needs it, and near bedok jetty, in case any of you wants to fish!)
$ you need to pay: $0.00
Directions to get there: Take MRT to bedok, go to the bus interchange and take any bus you know of (this part would be edited), or taxi

You can be there by 12noon to occupy the pit, but please try not to permanently dirty it cos we'll be held responsible.

There's no restrictions what you want to do there, but please be mindful of public decency.

If there's any leftover cash, we'll distribute it evenly amongst the people who are present after the end of the BBQ.

YAY.
I can't believe it. I even found it laughable. When we asked if anyone wanted a bbq, few (less than 5 I think) raised hands. When we asked if anyone DIDN'T want a bbq, none raised hands.

But the fact is, TWOTHREE is such a wonderful class such that when the class list was passed down we had 40 PPL WANTING A CLASS BBQ(!)

So yeah, most people voted for first half of N0v, and the date for the class BBQ is 13.11.08.

Some details now.
-Date: 13.11.08
-Location: East Coast Park. BBQ pit is near Bedok Jetty, cause it's near toilet. BBQ pit #57.
-Price: From $800 for two nights at chalet to $20 for the BBQ pit, which is not inclusive of food. But 100% of the money needed will be taken from class fund, which means that we have to pay $0. (screams out of tune~)

So yeah, Xiu Ming will be in charge of food (!!)

CLASS CHALET

As you all know, the class chalet issue had been brought up time and again within this 2 years
And since it's our last yr alrd ( D: ), i rlly think there should be a class chalet :D (please say yes too).
I know some of you dont want it cos of many reasons lah.
#1: i'm broke, cant pay for class chalet
#2: i'm not interested in any class chalet
#3: our class sure split into own groups to play/chat/spend time tgt if we have a chalet,
and the list goes on and on ):
(hah, bet i did hit some of you on the face!)

Sounds pretty logical, but some think otherwise,
#1: we've "saved up" so much last yr and wasted the chance of having a class chalet
#2: it's our last year being tgt, and that chalet day would be the last time we'd be spending time AS A CLASS
#3: we're a class, shouldn't we be like as enthu as anyone else is? i mean, it's gonna be fun with that BBQ, bonding and all that
#4: XIUMING IS IN CHARGE OF COMING UP WITH THE FOOD LIST!

By the way, the above is just to persuade you people of going for the class chalet, but no matter what, some of us have asked around, and most people are quite enthu abt it :D
So we shall go by the majority choice, and everyone MUST pay for it.

Currently considering Aloha Loyang ($240 per day or night, i forgot)
and Safra Changi ($403 per NIGHT), and we aim for 100% attendance (please!), and most of the teachers, esp miss ng to turn up :D Maybe they can waive some charges and we'll get to pay lesser (: (cross fingers)
Brief details on Aloha: Smaller and aBIT dirty, quite a few vacancies
Brief details on Safra Changi: Bigger, and cleaner, booked by ppl very fast, renovated 2 yrs ago.

when going for lessons not held in class, ppl plz put your things on the table and push in the chair
the last person, plz close the door and switch off lights and fans
